About GIFT+HOME

Here at GIFT+HOME, we make it our mission to bring you the most inspirational ideas for all your gift needs – whether you are looking for something for a new born baby, a wedding gift, a much loved mum or difficult to buy for man – both in our fabulous shop in Altrincham and online – we have the answer!

Our shop is based in the Stamford Quarter in the middle of Altrincham, right next to Look Fantastic. We’re just a short walk from the train station and the market. We’re easy to get to from most areas of Greater Manchester, with Altrincham being at the end of the tram line, too! Easy parking is also close by at the Stamford Quarter car park.

How it started

Our beginnings started back in 2014 down the road in Hale. Our first shop opened on Millfield Court.

Led by local businesswoman Louise Duerr, the ‘Gift’ in ‘GIFT+HOME’ originally stood for ‘great ideas and fabulous things’.

How it’s going

We opened the doors to our shop on George Street back in November 2017.

The concept behind our shop is simple; the idea is you’ll walk in, see things and be inspired! It can be so hard when it’s someone’s birthday or you’re going round for dinner at a friend’s house and want to get a little something. We provide the solution.

Of course, there are plenty of other gift shops – but stock things that aren’t available anywhere else locally. We stock a range of contemporary, unique and unusual gifts for everyone, and we also have a big array of modern Christmas ideas. It’s never too early to be thinking about Christmas presents!

And if you can’t make it to our shop in Altrincham – no problem! Our online shop stocks everything you need for the perfect gift.

Proud to be independent

We’re still run by Louise and the team today! Unlike some other gift shops, we’re totally independent.

It means that if you shop with us, you aren’t putting money into a huge global company – you’re supporting a local shop that’s fiercely passionate about Altrincham.
